How to get 165 Twitter friends in 1 hour!
Today I did an experiment. I wanted to see how many Twitter friends I could make in one hour. I joined a service called FastFollowers.com. For free, it allows you to follow large numbers of people. Now, a lot of these people tend to follow me back. Within an hour, I had followed almost 500 people - 165 of those people followed me back. Not bad.
However, in order to get my Following/Followed ratio in order, I used a service called http://unfollowall.com/ which allowed me in one swoop to "Unfollow" everyone. Now, as the images show below...I have 165 friends on Twitter following me, and it only took 1 hour.
So my list is not the cleanest list (i.e. pretty random selection of people), but as long as my information is universal (i.e. how to monetize a blog), then perhaps some of these people will become fans of my website - let the games begin.

A few followers have dropped off, but not many
So when I woke up this morning, I noticed that my followers had decreased a little. This might have been because they were notified about me "unfollowing them", or because I did not respond to their direct message (to confirm that they could follow me). I noticed a lot of people have been signing up for a product called TrueTwit. This service provides a validation service for people that want to follow you. I have also signed up for this service to avoid people "twitter spamming me". Seems to work well. Check it out perhaps!
