What are the benefits of using software to file your OWN taxes?

Benjamin Franklin, once wrote "but in the world nothing can be said to be certain except Death and Taxes. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the former, but the latter (taxes!) is a cinch.

Today, I explain why doing your OWN taxes using SOFTWARE will help you NOT only save money (no more expensive accountant fees!), but will also let you learn more about your OWN finances - which in turn, will help you with your wealth creation!

Let's learn how to become "tax efficient".

Becoming wealthy is NOT just about your EARNING power. Sure it helps to earn a large and consistent salary, BUT it is MORE important to have a broad and realistic understanding of all the different influences that affect one's total wealth.

For example, you need to answer the following questions honestly - What are your BAD spending habits? What are your GOOD investment strategies? And how efficiently can you manage your taxes?

Get S.E.T!

..and control your:

  • S-PENDING!
  • E-ARNING!
  • T-AXES!

    • Not only can you save money by doing your OWN taxes, and avoid typically large accountancy fees - but by doing your OWN taxes, you will finally understand your financial situation 100% clearly - and that is an important step toward the creation of your own wealth.

If you are like 98% of us, and only pay taxes in the country we live in (i.e. you have relatively simple income and investment portfolio), then you can save money and learn lots about your OWN spending and earning habits by doing your OWN taxes this year!

I have been doing my taxes online for over FIVE years and I always use QuickTax Online (I live in Canada).

If you live in the U.S., the same company makes Turbo Tax.

Software these days makes doing your taxes very easy, and at the end of the process - I even file my taxes electronically!

If you are unsure about using software to file your own taxes this year, then pay the accountant ONE more year (oh the shame!) and do your own taxes simultaneously using SOFTWARE - then you can compare and see the savings you missed out on!

If you live in Canada, I recommend that this year you take the plunge and do your OWN taxes online!

Good luck, and don't forget as a professional blogger, you can tax deduct a number of items such as office space and office equipment.
