One of the first things I learnt when I started blogging, was that it can be a challenge to meet (albeit self-imposed) publishing deadlines, while also ensuring that each blog post provides an innovative and interesting story. There is no doubt, that to be consistently innovative, at regular intervals, is a challenge that requires practice.

I have been blogging for a few years. When I first started out, I used Google Ad Sense as my advertising network. As a publisher, it was easy to sign up with Google and soon after I began earning money on my blog. However, overtime I got disappointed with my results. Why? First, because some of the adverts were not relevant to my niche readers – the automatic ad rotator misinterpreted the content of my webpage. As the automatic ads kept changing, sometimes they seemed on target, but other times they were way off target.

Overtime, I started looking for another solution. That’s when I discovered there are many other advertising networks, many of which I realised quickly would be better suited for my website.

Obviously, there is no reason for companies to spend money buying online advertising, unless they make money when people click on those ads. Therefore, it is important that all affiliate websites have a valuable and well designed "conversion funnel".

Recently, I was trying to persuade a friend of mine to start a blog. Having learnt first-hand the joy of creating passive income, I wanted my friend to also start a blog that he could monetize and use to create wealth.
